The beach has room for improvement. There are no functional changing rooms, and the showers in the houses are out of order. In fact, the lack of doors, which are now being used as toilets, is concerning. While many cottages are completed, most shops remain closed. On the positive side, there are two lifeguards, the water was excellent, and the beach itself was clean. However, overall, La Mer Beach feels quite neglected and rundown
